News Update April 2016

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, I trust the end of season hasn't seen you hang up your rackets until August and you are all staying fit and playing plenty! First the AGM. I previously sent out the suggestion that we could look to have the AGM on Saturday 14th May prior to the racketball finals. The response to this idea has been mainly positive. I have updated Kevin Morrison with the results and he has asked for a straight ballet. So to that end would you please reply to this email with your preference of the following: Option 1 - AGM to be held on a weeknight, probably a Thursday, date yet to be decided, free court session, followed by AGM, followed by drinks in the bar with the option to order pizza if you'd like food. Option 2 - AGM on Saturday afternoon 14th May 2016, format, free court session, AGM, racketball finals (subject to all the rounds having been played), with drinks in the club followed by a wonder into bars/eateries in Crosby or Waterloo. Closing date for voting will be 5pm Saturday 30th April 2016 so reply on here, on Facebook ( www.facebook.com/northerncrosbysquashclub ) or on the Whats App group. If you need any help joining any of our social media groups please let me know and I'll do my best to help you out. Club Open Day Sunday 1st May 2016 is the club open day. The weather is looking pretty miserable, however the courts will be warm and dry. We have advertised the event and are hoping there will be some turning up to try squash/racketball. There will be a junior tournament running through the day and coaching/taster sessions ongoing. If you'd like to come down and bring a racket we'll hopefully be able to get a knock and hopefully get some new members. There is plenty of football on the bar if the weather isn't up to much, so no excuses, get down there! Sportsmans Dinner We have 11 confirmed for our table at the sportsmans dinner on Thursday 16th June. There is space for 1 more if anyone is interested let me know. The rest of you who are booked on and haven't yet paid can you get your money to me ASAP please. Summer Ball The annual summer ball is Saturday 18th June 2016. I am putting a table together. Again looking for about 12 people. We have 6 so far. If you'd like to be there let me know and I'll add you to the list for our table. Details: 7:00pm for 7:30pm in the marquee Sumptuous meal followed by dancing till late With special guests: The Wednesdays That's all for now.
