Squash courts reopening in COVID Tier 2 on 2/12/20

Dear Squash and Racqetball section member,

As you are aware, the squash courts will reopen on Wednesday 2nd of December. This is exciting news. Liverpool has been placed in Tier 2 of COVID restrictions, which means England squash have had to put restrictions on who can play squash and how they can play.

1.Solo practice- Allowed

2.Same household or 'support bubble'- Can play a full game, best of 5.

3.Different households but in a 'squash bubble'-Can play sides,best of 5.

PS A squash bubble consists of a maximum of six players. Players can only be part of one bubble at a time and are not allowed to play people from other bubbles. If you are forming a squash bubble, please let me know the names of the members of the bubble

4.One to one coaching with adults using social distancing- Allowed

5.Junior coaching with Jim Foggitt and Val Delamere- Allowed

These restrictions are to keep all of us safe and we hope that they will be lifted as the number of COVID19 cases reduce even further.

SAFETY

All previously published COVID secure measures still apply. Please continue to book courts via OLBS and remember to record the names of both players- either on OLBS or in the registers on the courts. This is to facilitate track and trace. Please remember 'hands, face, space'. Wipe all touch surfaces; avoid touching the walls; don't hang about indoors either before or after your game; ideally go home to shower rather than use the showers at the club.
Wipes and Sanitisers will be provided on court.
If you have symptoms of COVID 19, please do not visit the club.
If you are diagnosed with COVID 19 after you've visited the club, please let a member of the committee know so we can arrange track and trace

TOKENS

We are aware that the restricted bar opening times might make it difficult for people obtain tokens. For this reason, we will continue operating the honesty box system for tokens until further notice. We would suggest that each player puts in a donation of at least 50p each time they play.

SHOWERS

Will be open when the clubhouse is open.

Friday 5pm till 11pm
Saturday 12.30pm till 11pm
Sunday 12.30pm till 11pm
CLOSED on all other days

Please see the email from the Club President dated 27/11/20, for details of how to get drinks when the bar is open.

That's all for now.

Thank you for your attention and for your support to the club during the past year.

All the best

Ade

On behalf of the Squash and RB committee
