Good afternoon.
The Club has the privilege of hosting a WSF/PSA Satellite tournament over the weekend of 18th to 20th of March. The tournament is for Professional squash players ranked outside the world's top 100. It is being co-ordinated by Chris Lea from Capitol Squash in St Helen's and Josh Taylor from the National Squash Centre in Manchester and at the last count, there were 32 Male and 16 Female entries.
This is a great opportunity for our members to see some of the world's top players in action. Entry to watch the event is free of charge (as a big thank you for supporting the club through the pandemic) but we would encourage a voluntary donation (which will go towards supporting junior squash at the club).
TIMINGS
Friday 18th March
12:00 till 16.30: Men's Round 1
16:30 till 19:30: Ladies Round 1
18:45 till 21:00: Men's Round 2
Saturday 19th March
12:00 till 15:00: Quarter finals
17:00 till 21:00: Semi finals
Sunday 20th March
15:00: Ladies final
16:00: Men's final
Presentation to follow
Over the 3 days of the tournament, there will of course be reduced court availability for our members to book but we have done our best to minimise any disruption. Please look on OLBS to see if there is any impact on your planned games.
The bar will be open early to support this event and you will be able to purchase sandwiches, pizzas and other snacks.
