The Chairman Ade Taiwo opened the meeting and thanked attendees for their time in attending.
Minutes from 2018 – agreed
Matter arising from the 2018 AGM minutes – Ladies squash night. Has been an issue with low attendance/late cancellation post season. In the past 4 weeks, only 5 out of 16 booked sessions had been used and bookings were not being cancelled in a timely manner. Discussion between members. Unfortunately, there was no-one present to tell the Ladies's side of the story. It was therefore agreed that Ade will talk with Sally Davies the Ladies Chairwoman to find an amicable solution (AT, spoke to Sally Davies on 24/5/19. Sally thought that the issues raised were legitimate. She agreed to do some work on the monday bookings to try and make things better for all concerned. AT will revisit the issue with Sally in 4 weeks time.

Reports (JD) – Two teams represented the club with reasonable success. The mixture of the two teams for the 2019/2020 season was discussed. Various options were mooted and as there was no certainty as to the best way forward, JD will poll players on the Whatsapp Group to determine how best to build the teams for the forthcoming season.

Squash (Steve K) – Six teams represented the club in 2018/2019.
1st team – promoted and made final of the play offs.
2nd team – nearly there but had a credible season
3rd team – unfortunately relegated
4th, 5th and 6th teams all went well and the process put in place of selection and notification went well
Noted that the Thursday night dinners had improved.
The play off finals were a tremendous success.
No representative at NW AGM tomorrow, sent apologies but will attempt to send our input via email for consideration re potential rule change proposals.
No LADIES SQUASH REPORT PROVIDED

Finance (MM) good amount of money generated by the squash events
£550 from Grand National
£900 last Man Standing
£500 sportsman dinner
Currently have 8 advertising boards paid up to date- the money of which covers the junior coaching

Mini leagues (JD) currently 2 x leagues for both squash and racketball
Interest noted from junior section JD to liaise with Jim Foggitt

Junior report – JF – Good year for the juniors. Girls have excelled themselves playing in the adult ladies teams. Evie, Eleanor Sinker and Eleanor James have all shown tremendous commitment.
The boys had steadily improved both in team games and in the graded grand prix.
George Evans overall winner of Grade A and Jack /Ben Waggot, and Spencer Davies have achieved excellent progress throughout the year.
A big continued thanks to Val Delamere for her work with the youngest of the crew. They all enjoy their sessions with her.

Chairman’s report – AT
Health and safety/Maintenance – rob gonzolis has highlighted various issues which are being treated as some priority by the newly formed Sports Committee
Big thanks to Steve Wildgoose for his ex-gratia work.

AOB – The elder Statesman Geoff Stubbs is retiring at the end of July and will have time on his hands to assist with anything needed.
